Wilderness Camp was Yellowstone (12 day trip).  Troop 80 camped at Otter Creek
campground, near Canyon City, in the middle of the park.  Otter Creek campground is
now closed to overnight camping.  We took 84 scouts and 17 men on that trip.

November camp was Coetas Creek.

Troop 80 bought a new Bus,  brand new.

The Squad system was introduced in 1971, with letter designations for the
squads.  It had been used informally earlier, but without being codified so
to speak.

1971 was first year we went to Camp Don Advancement camp.  We camped in
Skunk Hollow and had about 17 scouts.  Bill Halford was the adult in charge
of camp.

We bought a brand new bus (the "71") to take to Yellowstone.  The troop kept this buss until the 1980's.
